Yasin Zülfikaroğlu received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sakarya University in 2004 and his master's degree in Gebze High Technology Design and Manufacturing Engineering Department. He worked as a Design Engineer at Güneş Hydraulic in Istanbul-Turkey for one year. Later, he joined the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) as a mechanical engineer in the Inspection and Supervision Department.

He currently works at the General Secretariat of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) as an expert, a position he assumed since November 2011. He is also the secretary of the SMIIC Standardization Management Council (SMC) and follows the technical work of the SMIIC Technical Committees.
