Dr. Saeed A. Hayek
Dr. Hayek is currently the Quality Manager at the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA). He is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining IFANCA's Quality Management System to ensure meeting the Halal and ISO standards and to maintaining IFANCA accreditation and recognition. Dr. Hayek is actively involved in internal and external Halal training as trainer and trainee. He has participated in several international Halal conferences and exhibitions, as an attendee and/or speaker. Additionally, he is playing an important role in the technical department as an auditor and reviewer.
Previously, Dr. Hayek had academic, research, and industrial working experience, focusing on food safety and fermentation. He received his Doctoral degree in food microbiology and biotechnology from North Carolina A&T State University and published seventeen peer reviewed articles, five book chapters, and over forty-five peer-reviewed proceedings and abstracts; earned several honors and awards.
