Assoc. Prof. Datin Dr. Rafeah Saidon
Associate Professor Datin Dr. Rafeah Saidon is an academic and lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam Malaysia serving at the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS). She possesses extensive academic expertise in Shariah law, Islamic family law, halal law and regulation, contemporary Islamic studies, women and family studies, and social welfare development based on Islamic values.
She obtained her first degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), graduating with a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Shariah (LL.BS.). She subsequently earned a Master of Comparative Laws (MCL) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law from the same university.
Throughout her academic career, she has served as the Head of Postgraduate Studies at ACIS, UiTM, and has been actively involved in academic programme development, postgraduate supervision, and research management. Her scholarly contributions are reflected in numerous publications in both local and international journals, as well as in research projects focusing on Islamic law, Islamic family law, comparative civil and Shariah law, psychospiritual studies, Shariah legal services, halal governance, and contemporary Islamic studies. She continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of Islamic legal scholarship through teaching, research, supervision, and community engagement at both national and international levels.
