Associate Professor Dr. Najwa Mohamad is a pharmaceutical scientist and educator at the University of Cyberjaya, where she heads Quality in the Faculty of Pharmacy, oversees the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology & Industry, and serves as Treasurer of the Halal Centre.

A certified Halal Executive with a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the National University of Malaysia and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Science, she leads product development and commercialization efforts at UoC’s Pharmaceutical Research, Innovation and Commercialization Centre, supervises PhD candidates, and delivers experiential learning in areas from drug delivery and hydrogel wound dressings to cosmetic sciences and halal pharmaceuticals.

With eight years of experience in academia and prior industry tenure as Product Development Manager at ICON Pharma, Dr. Mohamad has secured multiple URGS grants, published extensively, and earned awards for innovations such as fast-melt films for Alzheimer’s treatment.
