Dr. Jawad Alzeeris a highly accomplished chemist whose groundbreaking research has contributed significantly to the field of medicine. Dr. Alzeer earned his PhD in organic chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, where he focused on developing a cellulose analogue by replacing the glycosidic bond with butadiene units. This innovative work demonstrated his skill and creativity in the field of organic chemistry. After working at Hoffmann La Roche, where he developed a new pharmacophore for an antimalarial drug, he went on to make more discoveries at the University of Michigan and the University of Zurich (UZ), focusing on gene therapy and cancer therapy.
