Iszam Bin Padil
Iszam bin Padil is the Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Halal Management Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). He has a distinguished career in the Malaysian public sector, particularly in the areas of halal management and Islamic administration. Iszam holds a Master of Science (Management) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a Bachelor of Syariah (Politics and Management) from the University of Malaya (UM), and several diplomas and certificates in Islamic jurisprudence, management, and learning development.
Throughout his career, Iszam has held key positions such as First Secretary/Halal Attaché at the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra, Australia, and Principal Assistant Director at both JAKIM and the Ministry of Home Affairs. He has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and Chermai Jaya Matriculation College.
Iszam is actively involved in international conferences and seminars, particularly in the field of halal certification, animal welfare, and terrorism rehabilitation. His expertise is frequently sought after at major events such as the Halal Certification Bodies Convention and the World Halal Council Forum.
