Elma Hrustemović
Elma Hrustemović, DVM, MSc, is a PhD Candidate and Researcher at International Burch University (IBU). Following her March 2024 pre-defense at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Sarajevo (UNSA), she is finalizing her dissertation. Her breakthrough research integrates a retrospective study from UNSA with prospective studies at IBU and Cinvestav-IPN (Mexico), evaluating synthesized allicin and acetic acid as alternatives against antimicrobial resistance in Campylobacter from broiler meat. By utilizing the INFOGEST 2.0 simulated human digestion protocol, her work delivers a high-impact scientific novelty both globally and for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Achieving a major international milestone, she recently became a Life Science Editor for Cactus Communications (Editage), a premier global leader in scientific editing. Furthermore, she has authored over 64 publications since 2021 (11 WoS, 5 Q1) and serves as an independent peer reviewer for Springer Nature, Wiley, Frontiers, and IGI Global.
