Damir Alihodžić graduated from the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla in 2007, and received his Master’s degree in 2012 and Doctoral degree in 2022 from the Department of Food Engineering. He is the CEO of the Agency for Halal Quality Certification B&H.

He is the co-author of 2 books and 6 scientific and professional papers in magazines and anthologies. He participated in numerous scientific and professional meetings in the field of food industry and standardization. He also participated in the EU Tempus, EDU FOOD, “Be promoted” and IPA projects, and in the organization of the international symposium “Food for Health”. He is the assistant editor of the Journal “Food in Health and Illness”.

At the University of Pharmacy and Technology in Tuzla, he was engaged as an external associate at the undergraduate and postgraduate studies. He is a member of several technical committees of the Institute for Standardization and Metrology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC/SMIIC), and the technical committee for food of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is married and have two kids.
